Master MW4 aim assist before launch.
Aim Assist Plus strengthens the aim assist Call of Duty already gives you, keeping your reticle locked on target. It works across the franchise, so it is ready for Modern Warfare 4 the day it drops, on PC and console.
Stay glued to the target.
Aim Assist Plus builds on the aim assist already in Call of Duty, keeping your reticle on the target as it moves. Same idea in MW4.
Your aim assist, turned up.
MW4 aim assist starts with the setting you already run, and Aim Assist Plus builds on it rather than replacing it. It makes the tracking stickier, so close-range strafe fights and long tracking shots both get easier. We will also publish the best aim assist settings for MW4 the day the game is live. Nothing touches the game, and there is no aimbot.
Get ready for Modern Warfare 4.
One Aim Assist Plus plan covers MW4 and the rest of Call of Duty. Cancel any time.
Modern Warfare 4 aim assist, good to know.
Yes. Modern Warfare 4 uses Call of Duty's controller aim assist with four selectable types: Standard, Precision, Focusing and Black Ops, found under Settings, then Controller. It works on PS5, Xbox and PC whenever you play on a controller, including crossplay lobbies. Mouse and keyboard get no aim assist from the game itself.
It combines two effects: slowdown, where your sensitivity drops as the reticle passes over a target, and rotation, where your view turns with a strafing target while you move. The four types weight them differently. Standard is the balanced default. Precision only slows when you are already close to the target, so it suits accurate players. Focusing slows hardest when you narrowly miss, which helps newer players. Black Ops uses the strongest rotational profile and is the pick for close-range tracking.
Black Ops for most players, because MW4's maps push aggressive close-to-mid-range fights where rotational assist matters most. Snipers and long-range players often prefer Precision. Whichever you run, Aim Assist Plus sits on top of it and makes the tracking stickier through strafes and jumps.
Start from the baseline that works across the franchise: Black Ops aim assist type, Target Aim Assist on, sensitivity 6 to 7, ADS multiplier 0.85 to 1.00 and a Dynamic response curve. Our BO7 aim assist settings guide walks through every setting and the MW4 menu is the same, and the Warzone aim assist guide covers the battle royale side. We will publish MW4-specific numbers once the full game is out.
Activision has not announced a strength change, and the four types are the same ones used in Black Ops 7 and Warzone. Many beta players ran the Black Ops type on the beta's close-quarters maps, which is the strongest rotational profile, so it felt stronger to them. If you want more than the menu gives you, that is what Aim Assist Plus is for.
Yes, on a controller: PC players get the same four types as console. Mouse and keyboard players get nothing from the game. Aim Assist Plus runs as a lightweight PC app and supports both controller and keyboard and mouse, so PC players on either input get tracking help.
In the menu: pick Black Ops, keep your FOV moderate because a very high FOV makes the assist feel weaker, turn Target Aim Assist on and avoid extreme sensitivities. Beyond the menu, Aim Assist Plus strengthens the tracking the game already gives you, keeping the reticle on a moving target for longer.
No. It enhances the aim assist the game already gives you, and it never reads or modifies any MW4 file. There is no aimbot and nothing is injected into the game. It is a legitimate assist, not a hack.
